Duhawks Going Dancing in St. Paul
Loras will face Concordia-Moorhead on Thursday

The Loras College volleyball team will make their first appearance in the NCAA Division III Women's Volleyball Championship against Concordia-Moorhead on Thursday at 6:00 PM in St. Paul, Minnesota. The Duhawks play in the University of St. Thomas regional with seven other schools.

Loras qualified with the Iowa Conference's automatic bid on Saturday afternoon with a 3-1 victory over the Simpson College Storm.

The Duhawks went 32-4 in 2008, including a perfect 8-0 record in the Iowa Conference. The regular season title was their first in program history. Loras' roster includes four All-IIAC selections and the league's Coach of the Year, Teresa Kehe. Senior setter Jenny Dziubla was a first team selection for the third consecutive season, and was also named the IIAC's MVP. Sophomore Kate Russell, who was the Iowa Conference Female Athlete of the Week for the period ending November 9th, was also a first team pick. Betsy Neverman, a senior from Jesup, Iowa, was a second team honoree and sophomore libero Morgan Murphy was Honorable Mention.
