Duhawks finish 2,3 at Grinnell Jon Denham, Sports Information Director April 21, 2008
The Loras College men's and women's track and field teams each shined on Saturday at the Dick Young Classic in Grinnell, Iowa. The men's team finished in second place, tops among IIAC schools and one of only three teams to eclipse the 100-point mark in a 20-team field. The women's squad was third of 18 teams, scoring 90.5 points.
Event winners included Ben Grant (1500 M, 3:59.15), Chris Buresh (High Jump, 6'-3.25"), Tara Kilburg (800 M, 2:15.82), Danielle McNally (Shot Put, 42'-6.25"-NCAA Provisional mark), and Ellen Thys (Discus, 155'-meet record, NCAA Automatic mark).
