Duhawks will begin Saturday, play triple-header Sunday

The Loras College softball team will have the opening games of their 2008 season postponed by one day due to wet field conditions and the potential for more precipitation at the host site in Hastings, Nebraska. With 22 teams scheduled to compete at the invitational, the tournament directors have adjusted the schedule. In the four year school division, Loras will now play five games.

Below is the Loras College Duhawks schedule for Saturday, March 8, and Sunday, March 9:

6:00 – (Field 1) – Hastings College

Sun.        10:00 – (Field 1) – Dakota State      

12:00 – (Field 8) – Dana College    

2:00 – (Field 8) – Concordia University

Loras was originally slated to play a different four game schedule. The Duhawks pick up one additional game following the postponement of Friday’s games. Midland Lutheran, Hastings, Dana, and Concordia are each members of the NAIA’s Great Plains Athletic Conference (GPAC). Dakota State is a member of the NAIA’s Dakota Athletic Conference (DAC).
