The Iowa Conference women's golf tournament moved to The Meadows Golf Club in Asbury, Iowa for the final weekend of play on Friday. Just minutes from campus, Stephanie Schwartz was playing some of the best golf of her career in her final tournament as a member of the team.
The senior from Glencoe, Illinois shot the low round 78 and was the only player in the 70's on Friday. Schwartz is currently in second place in the individual standings, five strokes behind leader Stephanie Burns of Wartburg College.
The Duhawks also shot two rounds in the 80's via Brooke Davis (89) and Jackie Kieffer (87). Amy Kemp added a 91 and Brittney Davis a 93. The team remains in second place, ten strokes from the lead. Brittney remains in the top ten, tied for tenth (+37).
Tee times begin on Saturday at 9:00 AM. The first Loras golfer goes out at 10:00.
