Duhawks win 67-59, Pucci named tourney MVP Jon Denham, Sports Information Director November 17, 2007

The Loras College women's basketball team won their second straight game to start the season and went 2-0 at the Rockford College/Damon's Tipoff Tournament after a 67-59 win over the host Regents on Saturday afternoon.
Natalie Pucci led all scorers with 24 points to help push the Duhawks past their opposition. Lindsay Bava scored 13 points for the second straight night to help the offensive output, and also pulled down 11 rebounds for the double-double. Lisa Morrissey added seven assists to lead the way in that department.
Pucci and Bava were named to the All-Tournament team following play on Saturday. Pucci, who averaged 20.5 points for the weekend, was also named the MVP of the tournament.
The Duhawks will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to River Forest, Illinois to take on Dominican. Tipoff is scheduled for 7:00 PM. |
