Pucci named IIAC Female Athlete of the Week Jon Denham, Sports Information Director December 11, 2007
Loras College senior guard Natalie Pucci was named the IIAC's Female Athlete of the Week on Monday after averaging 26 PPG in two wins last week. Pucci was the game-high scorer in wins over University of Dubuque (79-74) and Beloit College (61-55). The win over UD was the second of the IIAC schedule this season (2-0) and Saturday's win over Beloit moved the Duahwks record to 8-0 overall.
The West Dundee, Illinois native made six three-pointers in the two games, was 7-8 from the free throw line, and made 50% of her attempts from the field.
This was Pucci's second Women's Basketball Player of the Week in the Iowa Conference. In the season's opening week, she was named MVP of the Damon's Tipoff tournament in Rockford, Illinois. Both week's she was also named the IIAC's Female Athlete of the Week. |
