Denise Udelhofen has been the men's and women's head golf coach at her alma mater since the 2001 season. In that time, she has led both programs to the upper division of the Iowa Conference including numerous all-league performers and has been recognized by her peers as the Iowa Conference Coach of the Year in 2005 for the men and in 2006 and 2007 for the women. The 2005 Loras Men's Golf team captured the Iowa Conference title.

Udelhofen has coached a number of successful golfers in her seven seasons in charge of the men's and women's golf programs. On the women's side, she has coached a total of 10 All-IIAC golfers and another seven on the men's side. Among the names on the men's side is Pete Weber, who led the 2005 championship squad and was a two time All-American. Udelhofen's golfers have also achieved success in the classroom, garnering a total of seven NGCA All-Scholar Team awards.

A two-time all-league performer and IIAC runner-up medalist (1987) herself, Udelhofen was a three-time selection NCAA III National Small College team, qualifying all four years for the NGCA National Championship Tournament.

A softball standout at Loras as well, the Fredericksburg, Iowa native, also served stints as the head softball and volleyball coach at Loras. She still stands second in all-time volleyball coaching victories for the Duhawks.

Udelhofen owns both a bachelor's degree (1990) and a master's degree (1992) from Loras. Her undergraduate major was sports management, and her graduate degree is in athletics administration/physical education. She and her husband, Jeff, reside in Dubuque and have two children, a son Cody, and a daughter Allison.
