Duhawks move game day operations to AWC

For decades the Loras College football team entered the Rock Bowl from the southwest corner of the field before taking their place on the south sideline for kickoff. A thrilling run down the hill always preceded kickoff and was accompanied by a booming round of applause from the Loras faithful.

Beginning this season the Duhawks moved their locker room and game day operations to the Athletic and Wellness Center - which now also houses their equipment and training rooms. The move meant major upgrades in locker, shower, and medical care facilities, as well as a new entrance to the field. Led by the coaching staff and the captains, Loras now enters through the southeast corner of the field after crossing Cox Street.

"It's different, that's for sure," head coach Steve Osterberger said earlier this season, "but we've really improved our facilities over the past couple years and this is just a byproduct of those improvements."
