Barilla, Gross members of All-Central Region Team

The Loras College baseball team had two players named to the 2007 ABCA All-Central Region squad. Matt Barilla (9-2, 7 CG, 2.83 ERA) was a 2nd team selection following his junior season with the Duhawks and tied for ninth in the country in wins. Dubuque native Adam Gross was a 3rd team selection following his sophomore campaign. Gross hit .383 for in 2007 and set the single-season triples record at nine. Those nine triples also put him among the nation's leaders in that category. Gross also led the team in stolen bases (15), runs (40), hits (54), RBI (29), slugging % (.631), and on base % (.439).The two are now eligilble to win the Hitter of the Year and Pitcher of the Year awards within the region.
