ACCOMPLISHMENTS/HONORS:

Charter member of the Dubuque County Baseball Hall of Fame.
A power-hitting catcher, Moran was regarded as a "can't miss" major league prospect before opting for the priesthood.
An all-Iowa Conference standout on the basketball court, Moran helped the Duhawks capture two conference titles, win 19 consecutive contests during the 1946-47 season and post a 61-21 record in three seasons.
