Tom Tauke

Tom Tauke joined the Board of Regents in February 1998. He is currently the Executive Vice President for Verizon Communications. He also serves as a member of Verizon’s Corporate Council and Operations Council. He is a former member of the U.S. House of Representatives, where he represented the northeast corner of the state of Iowa from 1979-1991. Before entering the House, he was a practicing attorney. He is currently on the Board of Directors and is a member of the Executive Committee of the United States Telecom Association (USTA). He is Chair of the Board of Home Technology Systems, Inc.; serves on the Board of Directors of the Business Industry Political Action Committee; and is a member of the Board of Directors of Jobs for America’s Graduates. He graduated from Loras in 1972.
