Most Reverend Jerome Hanus

The Most Reverend Jerome Hanus, O.S.B., was named Archbishop of Dubuque in 1995. As such, he also serves as Chancellor of Loras College and as an ex officio member of the Board of Regents. He was professed as a Benedictine Monk in 1961, later being ordained a priest in 1966. He became Abbot of Conception Abbey in 1977, and held that post for ten years. He was then ordained Bishop of St. Cloud, Minn., in 1987. He came to Dubuque in 1994 after being appointed Coadjutor Archbishop.
