Eldon Herrig

Eldon T Herrig, founder of Herrig & Herrig Financial Services, Inc., is an accomplished professional with over 50 years of service to the insurance industry.  Because of his success in the insurance industry, he is a previous member of the Million Dollar Round Table and Top of the Table. Mr. Herrig is a former member of the Dubuque Community School Board and a former Dubuque County Supervisor. 

He has served on the boards of Stonehill Care Center, United Way, Operation New View, Alverno Apartments, Ecumenical Housing, Dubuque Area Youth Leadership Council, Clarke College Board of Regents and the Archbishop Pastoral Council.  He is currently involved with the University of Dubuque, the Archdiocese of Dubuque, Catholic Charities, the Conventions and Visitors Bureau of Dubuque, Hillcrest Family Services, along with the Loras Board of Regents.  Mr. Herrig was a co-chair for St. Marks Community fundraiser and the Sisters of St. Francis fundraiser.  

He also was chair of the campaign to restore the gold dome on the Dubuque County Courthouse.  He is the recipient of the Dubuque Jaycees Gilbert Chavenelle Award, the National Society of Fund Raising Executives Philanthropic Award for Outstanding Individual Philanthropist of Eastern Iowa and the Dubuque Telegraph Herald’s First Citizen Award of 1995.  Mr.  Herrig earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from Loras College.
