  
The Loras College Judo Club is Iowa’s oldest continuously active judo club, formed in 1961 by a handful of students. Since that time, it has grown from a small noticed college club, to a well-known, established and highly respected club throughout Iowa and the greater Midwestern area.

Judo promotes development of mind and body for all ages in a fun, active sport. Sportsmanship, self discipline, coordination, and stamina are emphasized, as is respect for one self and others. Click here for information on our instructors and classes (adult and youth).
Today , the Loras Judo Club is registered with USA Judo, which is the official national governing body for judo in the USA. It is also recognized as one of the creditable judo schools of the world, by the principal school of judo, the Kodokan, in Tokyo, Japan. Video clips of throws:
