Wellness Fair

The Wellness Fair is a bi-annual event sponsored by the Loras College Health Center.  The fair brings together services from the greater Loras community. The goal is to raise the level of awareness of spiritual, physical, and emotional health resources available to the students, faculty, staff and entire community of Loras. The health center uses the opportunity to educate and assist the participants in pursuing health excellence.  The Wellness Fair is held every other year.  The next Wellness Fair will be held in the Fall of 2008.  The fair is open to the public.

Campus and Community Outreach

The Health Center works closely with many other campus and community services. If we assess a need for referral we will discuss this with the client and assist with an appropriate referral and appointment. The Health Center Staff works closely with students' families and local health care providers to ensure continuity of care.   However, all patient records maintained by the Health Center are private. Only authorized Health Center personnel may release patient records, and then only with the written permission of the patient.

Student Insurance

The faculty, staff and administration are concerned about the health of all students who attend Loras College. Students are strongly encouraged to have health insurance. At this time, Loras is not sponsoring a specific insurance plan for the 2008/2009 academic year.
