Internships - Chicago Center

The Chicago Center Program allows junior and senior students at Loras College the opportunity to spend a full semester in Chicago interning and taking classes toward their degree. Students earn at least 12 credits through a variety of experiences, inside and outside of the classroom.
- Six credits are available for an internship with a Chicago employer. Students will intern for four days a week (Monday - Thursday) for 24-30 hours per week
- Three credits are earned for a course taught by Dr. Pamela Robert of the Roosevelt University Sociology department
- Two credits are earned for a service learning component
- One credit for a portfolio development/orientation course
- Students live at Roosevelt University while participating in the program
Students receive 100% of their Loras financial assistance during their semester away
- To obtain credit for an internship the intern submits a critical portfolio at the end of the internship that is reviewed by a panel of faculty and staff
